Besides the various appointments related to the horse racing, the San Siro race course is also famous because of the imposing reproduction of Leonardo's Horse, commissioned in 1482 by Ludovico Sforza that can be admired inside. Leonardo realized the big terracotta model, which was destroyed, but known through the draws. The modern bronze castin (1998-1999) was realized thanks to the interest of the American pilot Charles Dent, using the argil model of the sculptor Nina Akamo. Leonardo's horse is 7.20 meters high, 8.666 meters long, it is 2,43 meters large and it weighs 15 tons. It is the biggest equestrian monument in the world.
