Hockey Milan was born to new life
during the season '98/'99; after years of glory, the
Hockey Club Junior Milan and the Club Sportivi Ghiaccio
Cortina get together and close the season with a nice
4th place, after they lost the semi-final againts
the Merano Hockey Club. HCJ Milan leaves anyway the
A series the season after , to participate instead
to the Italian-French Cup; Milan reaches the Final
Four but will only get the second place. It is only
during the season 2000/2001 that HCJ Milan will be
nicknamed VIPERS joining - against
any forecast - the Italian Championship final as well
as the Italia Cup final.
